S&C Bank is a subsidiary of S&C Banco, a family owned bank holding company headquartered in New Richmond, Wisconsin.  Prior to 2000, S&C Bank was known by various names in our different locations.  On May 1, 2000 we adopted the common name of S&C Bank to reflect our commitment to the St. Croix and Chippewa Valleys.  The name also makes the banks more recognizable for our customers as they travel in the area, as customers can use any of our S&C Banks regardless of where they opened their account.

The current family ownership began in the 1930’s in the New Richmond market and has grown over time to include all of our current locations throughout west-central Wisconsin, and east-central Minnesota.  Our bank history extends back to 1879 with the first bank chartered in New Richmond and was called, until 2000, The Bank of New Richmond.

Our banking philosophy is to put the best local bankers in charge of their community banks.  This means that the people at your local S&C Bank are the people who not only answer your questions, but also can make any decisions necessary to keep our customers happy.  These are also the same bankers you will see involved in your community, church, or at school activities.  As a larger community bank, we can offer all the technology and products you would expect from a large bank with local, knowledgeable, and friendly service- no call centers or out of state decisions.
